The purpose of this assignment is to see how each element of the cycle of planning is related when planning an activity. Curriculum planning is not a separate process from teaching, and teaching is not a separate process from curriculum planning. In addition, all the other areas are all interrelated: assessing individual needs, noting where each child is in relation to goals, reflection, curriculum planning, and teaching. They are all part of an integrated cycle of planning.
For this assignment, you will write an informative essay about the planning cycle as you plan a learning activity in your early learning program. Use the template to guide your work.
Use the following early learning standard from the state of Indiana as you plan your activity:
ELA1.2 “Demonstrates awareness of alphabet.” https://www.doe.in.gov/earlylearning/framework/ela21 (Use this to help with the objectives part)
You have 12 children ages three and four of varying abilities and interests. Refer to the class roster (attached) as you think of the individual characteristics of the children in planning your activity.
Your essay should include:
• A summary of the planning cycle and its various components.
• An activity plan, with information on:
o How you will use observation to plan for the activity.
o How you will use assessments to meet predetermined goals and objectives.
o How you will incorporate children’s interests, experiences, and questions from the information provided in the class roster. Note: You won’t be able to incorporate all children’s interests, experiences, and questions into the activity, but it would be good to have thought about the individual children, as well as the group as a whole, in planning the activity.
o The strategies, materials, and experiences you will use in the activity to move children to the predetermined early learning standard.
o How you will assess the effectiveness of the plan and reflect on new ideas for the next learning activity.
• A summary paragraph of the information presented
Your informative essay should be 3–4 pages in length, with additional cover and reference pages.

Who is my writer? Is he/she a native English Speaker?
All our writers are native English Speakers. That is not to say that ESL writers are not good, we just prefer hiring native writers because we want the very best people working on your paper. I have more assignments after this, can you help me with those too?
